Essential key to be Elite Goal Setter.

Hello my dear learners!

 Here I am introducing another column for you to get trained and guide yourself in soft skills.

The skills which you are learning from your colleges or institutes etc, these learning can be said as hard skills. These skills can be explored and learned according to one's capacity. If you are good at grasping power, learning ability, concentration and interest towards a particular subject you can learn the same within very less period.
But my reader learners, to get into the actual market and work on ground in a corporate sector there are certain skills required to get into. This might be termed either as soft skills or as personality development.
Starting with very basic one, as you read the title.

To achieve any milestone whether at corporate level or at any basic level we need to set targets or goals to achieve it. Let's take an example, if you are an analyst at one company you have the target to be senior analyst or if you are clerk at bank you want to be P.O. (Probationary Officer), etc. To set or to achieve any goals there are basically 4 steps required to go for.

STEP:1 MUST HAVE CRYSTAL- CLEAR VISION:

You must decide first what is or are your goals. Set certain target for yourself.
Let's say you are student than target the syllabus completion. If you are an employee than target your work to be done. I repeat again never go behind materialistic aspect which demotivate you at the end. You should not think about marks or should not think about salary.


Your clarity of goals will help you to set different small targets for you.

 The vision of your goals and targets should not be vague. It won't let you achieve or master a single thing.
There are certain people who wants to do many things but on the same side don't know what they should do first. They want to go for one course, other degree, some extra work, etc. So for all such dilemma sit and have your introspection. By this you can have a clear vision of your targets.

STEP:2 CLARIFY THE REASON,"WHY":


Once you set your targets you must be acknowledged the reason behind the same. The answer to 'Why you set that target?' will clear your doubts and give motivation and encouragement to reach and work for your targets. It will help you to overcome your procrastination and laziness.
Sometimes we all have seen people use to run daily. Getting up, go to office, work there, do some other work, come back home, have dinner, sleep, again next morning same routine. But they don't know the 'WHY' of doing this all. So ultimately, this becomes their habit and they can't have any other vision to look for.
Thus, if you are setting any goal or target for you make sure you have the answer WHY.

STEP:3 TAKE RISKS.

You have to take risk for all your goals. Higher the risk, Higher will be the achievements.
 You can't achieve your goals if you won't take risks.

"Walk towards your goals as if your life is at the stake to achieve it."


 When a new born bird sitting on the tree branch, having wings to fly but won't open the wings and get down from the branch it won't be able to fly high. To touch the clouds and feel the freedom air the baby bird have to take risk that it might fall on ground before having that fly but once it is done, the sky will be of it.
 
STEP:4 ADJUST YOUR THINKING:

Always remember, there can be many ROADS to reach the same DESTINATION.


you should always be rigid or stubborn for your goals but should always be flexible for ways you can achieve it.

There might be certain instance or incident in your life which force you to do or complete that task first rather than your definite goal or target. 
Thus, always think in different aspects and plan or adjust to that situation.

STEP:5 TAKE ACTIONS:

Let me explain this like this. You have an amazing plan for the growth of the company. You presented the same to your head or seniors and they get agreed too. Now, you have to work on that plan. Now you have to implement that idea. The head have decided to promote you as soon as you complete the plan and convert it into a working project. But you are not implementing that plan. You don't know how to make to working. Now, tell me will you be able to achieve your goal of having promotion.


Each and every plan or thought requires to get implementation. Even if you are planning to walk from place to other until and unless you won't get up from chair you will be at the same place.

Always remember ACTION TAKERS ARE ALWAYS GOAL ACHIEVERS.

    The name 'Lakshmi' (wealth at all levels) is comprised of the word 'Lakshya' meaning 'goal'. As you have very correctly pointed out, without a clear goal, progress won't come. And you have included other wonderful points such as 1) knowing oneself and the motivation behind the goal (so as to also not get disappointed if the result goes amiss as we tried the goal for a particular reason / passion and can bank on that reason for the goal, emotionally, to prevent being dejected if success doesn't come right away and try again); 2) laying out the detailed plan; 3) being flexible on the approach on the plan and 4) to have the right attitude and most importantly 5) to implement. I love that you've promoted love for the work, rather than for its reward.
